Abbynet Labs Releases Firefox VoIP Extension

Abbynet Labs Releases Firefox VoIP Extension

Abbynet Labs has come up with the first version of Firefox VoIP extension which implies that one can have a full featured SIP user agent directly into Firefox. It is a valuable tool. It has not been officially introduced but it can be used anyway.

¢ You don't need any other desktop software, all VoIP functionality is built in the extension.
¢ One-click call feature to dial a number straight from the web page you are browsing.
¢ SMS sending
¢ Just sign up for a valid account at abbeyphone provider.
¢ Internet calls are FREE. PSTN call rates can be found on Abbeyphone's web site.

After the installation is complete one could figure out the extension on the lower right side of the Firefox's status bar and change the position if required. One can read the SIP number, credit and an edit box where one can insert the number that one would want to call. Since the Firefox VoIP extension is autonomous, the user is not required to install any other piece of software for making calls. One could also change the default behavior which forces the extension to drive the web based Abbeyphone VOW client which would be loaded on Firefox's Sidebar. As of now the latter function won't be working.

It can also handle the rendering of any webpage so that any number shown on it becomes clickable and one can call it directly from inside Firefox.

Thnx Luca
