when it's closer to your face so that you don't start clicking the programs accidentally. It is just 11.6 millimeter so you can imagine how thin it is and has a 3.5 inch touch screen. Buttons have been banished from this phone and it has an excellent storage capacity of both 4GB and 8GB, a two megapixel camera and Wi-Fi too. It will also be supporting quadband GSM radio with EDGE for faster internet access.
It has a battery life of up to five hours and audio playback for around sixteen hours. I couldn't find something about its standby time. Amazingly it runs OS X supporting Google Maps, Widgets and iTunes. An agreement with Yahoo lets you reach out to free push IMAP email.
The 4GB model will be available for $499 whereas the 8GB model will be available for $599. In U.S it will be available with Cingular under a two year contract, will reach Europe in the fourth quarter and Asians will have to wait for this phone till 2008.
There is good news for VoIP users too as Jajah has announced that it would be offering VoIP for the iPhone when it comes to U.S.
Jajah announced on its blog:
We are going to bring Jajah Mobile to the iPhone as soon as it becomes available. iPhone users will be able to make free or very low cost global Jajah calls with a single click, without a special download, other equipment, wi-fi or broadband access. You'll just need to be a registered Jajah user - and registration is free.
Phew!! With the release of iPhone Apple has finally brought an end to the innumerable rumors which were making rounds regarding it since ages and I just can't wait to get my hands on it.
