Belkin announced in January that they were releasing a Desktop Internet Phone for Skype. It has a color screen, supports "over 500" Skype contacts, and supports SkypeIn and SkypeOut. The phone also features speed dial, call hold/release, call pickup/park, mute, redial, hold, call-timer display, and contact list.
Personally, I don't see the point of a fixed telephone anymore. I don't even have room for such a beast on my desk. I much prefer using my mobile, a Samsung Omnia. At least the WiFi Skype phones can be used anywhere you have WiFi.
While the original press release said March of 2008 for availability, the phone was not available for purchase at press time. It will have a suggested retail of $99.

I have one of these phones and love it! I want a second one to use for my weekly internet radio show on blogtalkradio for my hosting duties and found them sold out. A letter to Belkin to ask if they were discontinued was quickly responded to with a note telling me that these phones would soon be back in stock. One key secret of these phones is how well the speakerphone works. I use it to talk to my girlfriend while I move about my home and it really frees a person up not to be hooked to cord or to a wireless device in your ear. Worth every penny and I can’t wait to get my second unit! And yes – I’m a real reviewer living in northern California.
I bought Belkin F1PP010EN-SK Desktop Internet Phone for Skype (Black) at this website http://www.dealsShoppie.com/product/search.php?ID=B00158UZTW&product=Belkin+Desktop+Internet+Phone+for+Skype. 33 users rated the product with an average of 3.5. I found this information to be very helpful and give the product a thumbs up.
