The service will be rolled out this summer in Europe and teenagers would surely be waiting with baited breath for this service. The company has entered into agreement with a number of advertisers for this purpose such as L'Oreal, Coca Cola to name a few. It is even being said that the company is in the process of entering into a deal with Orange for running the service over its network.
The company is not offering any content and media services therefore I wonder how Blyk would be feeding ads to its users using just voice and text. There is still no clarity regarding the ad formats to be served and who the operator would be. Like this there are a number of questions which still need to be answered about the service. I tried reaching their site and blog but they didn't open up. I hope the secrecy surrounding this service will be unveiled soon and kids would surely not mind these ads until and unless they keep on getting free calls. Whenever I get some more information about this service I will let you know for sure.

It seems like the amount of advertisements would have to be very heavy, almost to the point of making the phone more of an annoyance than a viable communications device. But, time will tell.
