BroadVoice Goes Video

While not the first company to offer video on their dialtone-over-IP service, I do believe BroadVoice is the first to give the hardware away-with a three year service agreement.

BroadVoice's Ojo plan gives you unlimited calling to the US and Canada as well as a spiffy Ojo 900 video phone for $40.42 a month-a $15/month premium over their Unlimited World plan. You do miss out on calling to the other 19 countries supported by the Unlimited World plan, though.

While it's a nifty idea for people that are less technically savvy, I'm more inclined to go the SightSpeed or Skype rotue myself. webcams are cheap and easy to set up, SightSpeed and Skype provide free video calling. Far less expensive than paying for dedicated hardware with a 3 year service plan.
