Now one would be able to download for free six toolbars in three different categories – MS Office, e-mail and Web from Skype home page which would allow users to simplify their voice calls.
The toolbars work in a similar manner by scanning documents or web pages for phone numbers and then highlighting them. With a single click of the phone number users would be able to make calls. So now you don't need to toggle back and forth between PC and phone and cut and paste numbers in the traditional way. This was certainly boring earlier.
There are three version of the Email Toolbar which is available, one each for Outlook Express, Outlook and Thunderbird e-mail client. Each one would integrate contacts from that application with Skype.
As regards with the Office Toolbar, numbers which appear within Microsoft Office document would become Skype enabled for making calls or sending SMS message and in case the author of the document turns out to be a fellow Skype user then one would be able to know the online status of the concerned person.
The third and the last toolbar, Web Toolbar would recognize both phone numbers and Skype names from within web pages and allow a person to initiate calls also.
Certainly this can be regarded as one of the biggest contribution to the field of IP communications as it integrates the VoIP community with a number of applications that millions of people use each day.
