My friend Solomon has been using WebPhone for quite some time and he has found out that it's worth it so I thought why not I should tell you about this softphone. Two types of WebPhone VoIP service is being offered. The first one is WebPhone basic using which one can make free WebPhone to WebPhone calls and the call rates start from just 1.9 cents. Another feature which is being offered is the calling card feature with which one can access their WebPhone account from any phone and by spending 1.49 dollars per month one can enable this feature in their WebPhone account.
The second service is WebPhone plus which provides a US number with area code of preference, unlimited incoming calls, call waiting, call forwarding, call blocking and voicemail for only five dollars per month besides the regular features of WebPhone basic. I cannot understand why this is named a “webphone” and why not as “softphone”. A “true” webphone is a software running directly from the web or at least from your browser. For example mizutech webphone which is a java applet: http://www.mizu-voip.com/Products/WebPhone.aspx
