Andy Abramson's post on who owns the residential and business VoIP sectors reminds me of the conversation I had with our local Comcast Business rep at the WSTA meeting I went to last week. While the cable companies clearly have a lock on the residential market-Comcast's offer is pretty hard to pass up for the average person-in the business world, not so much.

Comcast's business offering for data is quite compelling-16mb down, 2mb up at the top tier. Their voice service doesn't sound all that different from the residential service, but the rep said they were looking at adding additional lines-up to 16. It will be rolled out in stages, of course, for the customers that need it. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
