D-Link's launches industry's first flip style mobile W-Fi - DPH-540
D-Link has come up with industry's first flip style mobile Wi-Fi which has a complete softphone from TelTel for SIP based internet telephony. The phone titled DPH-540 looks like any other cell phone. It has a backlit color LCD and a backlit keypad for easy readability.

Now let's see what's good about it:

There is no need to be in front of your computer to make or receive calls. Sounds great!!! The interface of the phone is easier to operate as compared to a PC. Those who have a trouble understanding PC would be better off with it. The softphone from TelTel enables users to make free calls whenever they enter a Wi-Fi hotspot. It's a light phone weighing just 3.74 ounces. Out of all the biggest incentive is that one can call TelTel users worldwide for free.

The downside:

This phone might turn out to be a bit expensive for local calls to fixed line phones so one might have to carry another phone along to avoid burning a hole in the pocket .It is not compatible with GSM/CDMA phones. It does not support Skype either. Carries a price tag of $300. The price doesn't seem justifiable. What do u say folks??
