EQO Mobile for Skype Available For Users of Apple OS

On popular customer demand, EQO Communications has announced the availability of EQO Mobile for Skype to users of the Apple OS X operating system. People who use Apple's Macintosh systems would now be able to extend Skype VoIP calling and messaging to their mobile phones.

It enables users to make and receive Skype calls, exchange IM and view information about friends over the Skype network from more than 45 different phone handset models from vendors including Motorola, Nokia, Palm and Sony-Ericsson.

It uses a combination of a phone resident J2ME client and a presence enabled VoIP signaling network. This phone service is capable of bridging online identity, VoIP calling and IM services to more than 200 million J2Me-capable mobile phone handsets being used worldwide.

Now one does not require costly 3G or Wi-Fi enabled phones and wireless broadband internet connection for making calls and it can be easily set up and used.

One can avail for free EQO Mobile as a beta version from www.eqo.com.
