I believe that Vonage has joined the party pretty late. With most of the VoIP service providers already offering free calls and it becoming the trend Vonage cannot expect to offer the same thing at a price. We know that Vonage is going through a crisis and it cannot expect to dole out free stuff but if it doesn't it would lose out on its existing customers too.
