The time has come when we need to put the rumors regarding Google phone to rest as the announcement has come from the horse's mouth. Isabel Aguilera, google's head of Spain and Portugal has stated that the company has been working on a mobile phone.

Isabel Aguilera stated in Noticias.com, a Spanish news website:

Some of the time the engineers are dedicated to developing a mobile phone.

Ok!! And there is one more announcement made by the spokesperson of Google when the company was asked for a comment on this:

Mobile is an important area for Google and we remain focused on creating applications and establishing and growing partnerships with industry leaders to develop innovative services for users worldwide. However, we have nothing further to announce.

Now with this hint we may soon see the face of Google phone but this will give rise to more rumors as to what the phone would look like and what all it would have. I believe that this phone would be centered around the various applications developed by Google in order to give them a push in the mobile world too and certainly our very own VoIP should find a place in it. Till then keep thinking!!!
