I just heard that iPhone was out and instantly thought here comes the much awaited phone from the stable of Apple but it turned out to be a VoIP phone from Linksys. And you would be amazed to know that Cisco, the parent company of Linksys holds the trademark for the name 'iphone' since the year 1996
The iPhone might not meet the expectations of the people who were awaiting the IPhone from Apple but for your information the iPhone range from Linksys comprises of a cordless phone named as CIT400 which lets you make Skype calls and is available for a price of $179.99 whereas the other handset known as WIP320 is compatible with Wi-Fi and is available for a price of $199.99. Both the handsets are currently available in North America and later on would be made available in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
I was just wondering what Apple will call its cell phone and music player combo now. Surely it won't be iPhone. If you have some names in your mind then let me know!!
