Hictu is a micro-blogging service similar to Twitter and Jaiku, but it also allows audio and video to be added as well. It is run by the folks at Abbeynet, an Italian VoIP/telecom operator.

But now, with their partnership with Jajah, you can take it a step further. You can go into someone's Hictu profile and, if the person has a Jajah account, you'll see a green call button. Click on that, and the call is set up through Jajah. Calls are charged at the normal Jajah rates to the receiving party's Jajah account.

It should be noted that Jajah isn't the only service supported here, as Abbeynet's own VoIP calling service is supported, including Sitofono. I imagine it would not be difficult to support other service providers as well.

It will be interesting to see how much this feature is actually used. I myself have doubts, but at least Hictu's trying some different things.
