How Skype would survive?
Today's big news: Nokia criticizes on the exclusive voice service of Skype-- Change, or you will die.

Not sure how Skype's CEO would think about the warning from Nokia. Will they think--- "don't touch my business" ? Will they listen to it and buy more more terminals from Nokia as told by the Nokia people?
In the business, always be aware of the purpose of a company's "nice" words to another. Does people in Nokia so free to care about other one's business? Of course, bosses in Nokia will not give salaries to such employees. Let's listen:
Tero Ojanper, the chief strategic officer said, Skype has to find new profit margin except for voice call.
Timo Luukka, in charge of sales branch of mobile equipment, said Skype has to improve the quality of the call.
Come on, Skype's voice call is now the most popular communication way in the world, and users seem not to care much in the calling quality. And it is now still extending its popularity.
Nokia may be curious to share the meat with Skype, selling more terminals in this profitable market. That's always manufactures do. They always advise operators, or carriers, to try more service using their equipments. Like what happened in the 3G bubble.
Does Skype have the ability to enter into the mobile markets? The brand may be strong enough, but how about the risk of regulations in the world? How about Skype's advantages to compete with mobile operators in different countries? Skype is a cool name, but cool doesn't mean you could do everything you want.
Think about it, Skype, you have your own way.
