AT&T has installed sniffing and wiretapping equipment at various facilities. This entire operation is headed from the AT&T Network Operations Center in Bridgetown. This 20 by 40 room is protected by a highly secure protection i.e. Mantrap. These pieces of information have been revealed by a former AT&T technician, if he is to be believed AT&T can lay its hand on any piece of information from email, Voip, passwords, credit card transactions, browsing information and god knows what more.
Is this information needed for national security, we still have no answer to it as neither AT&T nor NSA are divulging any information.

I guess the American public doesn't understand how extensive terrorism is. We have Al Qaeda cells all over, etc.
For instance, I live near Dallas and we have multiple terror cells.
It's better to find them and keep them under surveillance. They are like the hydra, if you cut it's head off, another springs up.
To say we have 100,000 terrorists would be an understatement. THey are not all muslims, infact, our number one terrorist threat is environmentalists. That's why PETA was bugged and the media DIDN'T yell about it, to keep attention AWAY from groups like the "Animal Liberation Front" etc. terrorist groups. Go figure.
