Given the "free" nature of the site, which means it's ad-supported of course, Jangl's calling services on Plentyoffish.com will also be ad-supported. It will put Michael Cerda's philosophy on how ad-supported calling should work to a real-world test.
This partnership bumps the number of profiles Jangl services to over 80 million. It is also the first time that Jangl begins to terminate calls using Jajah's platform, based on a partnership announced last fall.

alkrauza,
you just gave the perfect example of why ad based calling has not caught on big time. it is not ad based calling but rather 'data mining' in which you are out to collect phone numbers and email address. that makes it a big turn off. i would certainly listen to or view traditional type advertising in exchange for discounted phone calls. i will absolutely not start handing over personal info so that telemarketers, etc. can start to intrude into either my days or the days of the people i am talking to with there direct sales tactics.

Sometimes the price of "Free" is really expensive. The Jangl way is fairly non-intrusive, from what I understand.

Plentyoffish.com don't need to partner with Jangl, markus is doing well over $6 mill a year with his site. Don't fix anything if it is not broken.

AdCalls introduced a new Offline Marketing Program for Businesses. Using a Leads Generating Free Long Distance Calling Card, companies can give out the cards and collect Email addresses and cell numbers from users.
Upon initiating the call, users hear a welcome message from the Advertiser, followed by a Text Message. This is the ideal business bui8lding and CRM program for any business, as Advertisers can now build a permission based data base of Customer cell phone numbers.
