Jeff Pulver and Tom Evslin Post Disaster Communications Petition Goes Public
FCC has put out for public comment the Post-Disaster Communications Petition that Jeff Pulver and Tom Evslin filed back in March. Both have been working hard on petitioning FCC about the things that need to be set straight in case of a disaster from VoIP perspective. They have been requesting others to spread their message.

If one goes through the documents, on would realize that a lot of work needs to be done from VoIP perspective. If one compares the traditional service with VoIP, one would be surprised to know that it is better in all respects except for the price. If one uses a service like Vonage, one loses reliability of the phone system, the quality is poor, no 911 service and one can use only one phone plugged into the ATA as compared to PSTNlinks where one can jack handset in any phone outlet inside the house.

One can go to Jeff Pulver's blog and comment about the post disaster communications petition.

I find it very creative and with unique news, which I think is great compared to some other blogs that just copy other blog's content.
