Kapanga Mobile for Smart Phone and Pocket PCs
The beta version of Kapanga Mobile Edition has been launched and as per the thirty day trial offer you can download it for free from their website. After installation users would be able to establish simultaneous voice and video communications through a software PBX or VoIP provider using the mobile device's 802.11 WiFI connection. Communication with another SIP client device is also possible in a direct manner with Kapanga Mobile.

The codecs supported include H.263, H.263+ and H.264 for video and G.711, G.729 and AMR for voice.

Martin Cadirola, President/VP Business Development of Ecotronics Ventures LLC said:

We believe the future is in mobility. We are now launching a public beta after a year of successful field tests with large OEM clients. Our strategy is to become part of the family of solutions available to Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) and Triple Play players in the VoIP industry and Kapanga Mobile will be one of our key offerings in 2007.

Kapanga Mobile is supported by devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 such as T-Mobile MDA, Cingular 8125, Qtek 9100 etc. In 2007 expect more devices to support it. Download it here.
