Hardware

Back when I was messing with VoIP hardware a bit more, the Linksys SPA-8000 might have been an interesting device for me to look at. It's basically a SPA-2000 times four. That is, the SPA-8000 has eight independently addressable FXS ports, whereas the venerable SPA-2000 only has two.
What an FXS port? Something you plug an analog telephone into. And you've got eight ports ready to send in different directions if you prefer. Or, more likely, tie them all into the same PBX as that's the main selling point of this box.
For a bit more detail on this device, head over to voxilla and their First Look at the SPA-8000.
