Microsoft Windows Live Messenger began beta testing today. Look for voip capabilities and folder sharing. If you like backpackit, you'll dig folder sharing. Wonder if it will be a single file with an RSS feed to track the changes or SSE (Simple Sharing) that will sync two distinct files? Probably RSS, but since they just started talking up SSE it popped into my head.

Some stories mentioned social networking aspects. That would be interesting.

I don't know what is in the beta, but the private invites were already sent out so if you didn't get one, then you're clearly a loser like me ;)

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get an invite by some uber cool friend sometime soon.
