Manifone Claims To Not Charge When The Call Isn’t Connected

manifone_logo_white.png

I got an email a while back from a company called Manifone, which on the surface, looks like yet another Jajah clone. You make cheap international calls by calling what amounts to "local" numbers for each of your contacts.

Their big selling point: they use a technology where your mobile operator won't bill you for the call unless it's actually connected to the party at the other end. Apparently, the "other companies" don't do this, meaning you pay for the mobile minutes through your carrier whether or not you connect to the party at the remote end!

Well, I guess that's some differentiation, but really, that's all you got? The rates I saw didn't even look that good, either.

yes. it tends to be an issue with voip that lots of times calls connect and than ring; therefore you get charged for every call. with voicemail such a standard thing most of the time it makes no difference except you pay for maybe an extra 30 seconds on each call.

FRAUD – received a charge from manifone that i’ve never heard of before, bank closed my account as a fraud issue. not sure if its is the VOIP company or a customer but BEWARE of these news companies/great deals.
