Middle East Cannot Ignore VoIP for Long

still needs to travel a lot in the field of VoIP in order to catch up with everybody and fulfill their communication needs. What seems to be holding back Middle East is the lack of awareness about benefits offered by VoIP and to an extent skepticism associated with it. We are all aware that UAE has banned all consumer VoIP services as of now. In case VoIP takes off in Middle East the biggest beneficiaries would be the SMBs. SMBs would certainly gain as they would be able to utilize the benefits of VoIP without spending a lot on installation, equipments or staff. Consumers also stand to gain with free and economical calling worldwide.
To me it seems that it is just a matter of time before Middle East realizes that how VoIP could shape up their telecom sector. Sooner or later it would have to open up its arms to VoIP because technology is surely changing the face of the world.
