O2 to Launch Toshiba TG01 with Nimbuzz Pre-Installed

Nimbuzz recently announced that O2 is launching the Toshiba TG01 handset throughout Germany with Nimbuzz software pre-installed.

"The TG01 employs a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset and it has a 4.1-inch screen," writes TMCnet's Bob Emmerson. "The spin is that the ability to employ Nimbuzz services on this powerful handheld device matches the needs of 'super-connected' users by bringing video, gaming and social networking experiences from the PC to mobile. Access is enabled via a central icon on the home screen."

"Nimbuzz, which currently claims to be adding some 750,000 users per month, has set out to erase the proprietary technical barriers that separate popular VoIP/IM communities — such as Skype, Google Talk, and Yahoo! Messenger — as well as the social networking sites Facebook, MySpace, and others — primarily for mobile phone users," writes Enterprise VoIP Planet's Ted Stevenson.
