Telecom journalist-cum-blogger Om Malik, the man behind GigaOm, suffered a heart attack on the 28th of December. The good news is that he made it to the hospital on his own power and is on the road to a full recovery.
Malik offers some of the best insights into the telecom/VoIP space on GigaOm and has created a small network of high-quality blogs: Web Worker Daily, NewTeeVee, Earth2Tech, and FoundRead.
Prior to turning GigaOm into a full-time job, he was a writer for Business 2.0, Red Herring, and helped to found Forbes.com in the late 1990s. He also briefly dabbled in the Venture Capital space.
Best wishes, Om. Here's hoping for a full recovery.
