Ooma Adds New Features

Ooma Adds New Features

VoIP startup ooma today introduced a range of new features to its offering.

"The new features include up to nine virtual phone numbers with personal voicemail that can be set to ring on a specific phone, emailed voicemail, mobile ring / forward, call logs and caller 'blacklisting,'" writes SmallNetBuilder's Tim Higgins. "The new features and services are available as a software update to existing customers and are included in ooma's Premier service, which costs $12.99/month or $99.99/year. All ooma plans require ooma Core – a $249.99 hardware and base service bundle."

"As an ooma owner, I've just enabled multi-ring forwarding," writes Zatz Not Funny's Dave Zatz. "Though I use my system solely for outbound calls, some folks have jotted down the Ooma number and attempt to call me on it. So I'm looking forward to having my cell phone ring when a VoIP call comes in, regardless of my physical location."

Thanks for the heads up. I’m always happy to hear about developments in VoIP because I work in a call center, and VoIP offers a lot of benefits.
