PC Less Cordless Phone from Skype
In yet another attempt to make you VoIP addict, Skype would be launching a set of PC less cordless phones. With these phones you would be able to make and receive Skype and landline calls minus the requirement of a PC. The phones which would be available are NETGEAR and Philips VOIP841 cordless phone.

The good thing is that these devices are Skype certified and this certification is awarded to those products which gel with Skype software. You don't need to worry about the product as they are tested for more than a month in order to ensure that they meet the usability and technical quality standards of Skype.

Both the phones are preloaded with Skype's software and they are all set to replace your ordinary cordless phones. All the Skype contacts can be downloaded on this phone. What else, you can search for your Skype contact directly on to the phone and add them to your list of both Skype and traditional contacts. These phones are simple to use, have a full color graphic display and an improved speakerphone. Along with the phones you get a remote DECT base station that plugs into both traditional phone line and broadband connection.
