Philips has been making efforts to offer a range of VoIP phones because the company knows that this very technology is the future. The company has just come out with a new VoIP phone which has been named VOIP841. This is the first Skype certified DECT phone which does not require connection to a computer.
With it you can make free Skype to Skype calls and there is no need to be tied to your computer. Besides Skype calls you can also make regular calls with it. All you need is a broadband connection and you are ready to make calls. It has a speakerphone option so you need not keep it near your ears always which can be really difficult at times. It has a full color graphic screen and you can store around five hundred Skype contacts with their online status visible. The talk time hour is quite impressive standing at around twelve hours and the voice quality is too impressive. The phone will hit the stores in the month of March carrying a price tag of £130.

Been waiting for this phone for ages. This was supposed to be the first, but now there is others from RTX and Netgear. Still bought the philips, even though a bit more expensive, because I expect the quality to be higher. So far very happy.
