Phil Zimmerman's Zfone to secure VoIP calls
Phil Zimmerman, creator of PGP has developed a secure means of talking of VoIP called Zfone. It works with any network that uses SIP which is a commonly used standard among VoIP providers; therefore it would be easy for most of us to implement it without needing the existing VoIP phones.

What does it offer:

Phil has released the free beta version

It is a new product which takes a new approach to make a secure telephone for the internet

It achieves security without relying on a PKI, trust models, key certification, certificate authorities or key management complexities.

What it does not offer:

Zfone won't be working on Skype network as it doesn't use SIP.

It is currently available for Mac and Linux users but a Windows version would be launched soon.

I hope that this tool would help in strengthening the faith in VoIP
