Plantronics has unveiled its Voyager 510-USB, a Bluetooth headset system for VoIP connections. This headset can be integrated with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and the new Microsoft Office Communicator 2007. The product is capable of instant messaging and enables users to place hands-free voip calls through a PC. For easier set up and use the Voyager 510 headset has a plug and play Bluetooth USB adapter.
The technology offered by Plantronics allows user to switch between multiple Bluetooth enabled devices. Only a touch of a button is needed for the user to switch between mobile phones and softphones. Using Office Communicator 2007, Plantronics is playing a major role in the development of VoIP peripherals.
