Skype has gone ahead and released PPC 2.1 beta for Pocket PCs. My friend Tom says that technically speaking Pocket PC is a misnomer as the new Skype software could run on smartphones which run Windows CE or the latest Windows Mobile 5 operating systems.
The new features of this BETA version include:
Multi Person Chat
Using this feature conduct multi person chat session by making use of animated emoticons with your buddies and when mobile users are not online, the chat message would be automatically updated when the user logs in next time.
Personalization of Profile
Users can use their pictures in order to update their profile.
One Click Skype Access
The Skype icon on the home screen enables users to view and call contacts in an easy manner.
Enhanced Contact List
Though this users could see their contact avatars and mood messages.
