Skydeck this week announced a new public beta of its impressive online cell phone management service, promising "your mobile phone, online."
"[It's] a new service that offers a web-based command center for our cell phones, cataloging all our voicemails, call records, and SMSes, and offering features like voicemail transcription and the ability to make calls right from within the browser," explains Ars Technica's David Chartier.
"Signing up for a Skydeck account means you get a backup of your data in a webmail-like interface where you can find your important numbers, read texts, and even make calls (for a charge) if you are ever without your cell," according to geeksugar. "Skydeck puts me more at ease, since sometimes I can be a total worrywart about losing my precious handset. Who wouldn't?!"
