Skype has just released a beta version of their Linux client that supports what a number of people have been asking for-video! Good news for those folks who use linux all the time, whom are quite a vocal minority.
Multimedia on Linux has long been a challenge. With the latest editions of Ubuntu, things have improved dramatically. I do wonder, however, how well the video and audio will be synced. Using past experience as a guide, it's not likely to be. I will, of course, give it a try and let you know what I find out.
Meanwhile, if you have some experience, good or bad, with the new Skype 2.0 beta for Linux, leave a comment!
