Here comes Skype version 3.0 for Windows armed with some social networking features. Integration with Last.fm now ensures that the person on the other end knows what you are listening to and the mood messages communicate your feeling to other users. This is something which we have seen with yahoo messenger.
There is also a public chat feature which lets you enter chat rooms and discuss on various topics of your interest. The interface looks better and as of now you have to download and install it manually.
The Do More menu has some plug-ins which enables users to enjoy games, record your conversations and even share a whiteboard. The system requirements for Skype 3.0 are Windows 2000 and XP. It seems Skype is taking the social networking path. Click here to download it.
