I realize I'm a little bit behind on the curve, but there is a new 2.7 beta release for Skype for the Mac. The three most visible changes are:

  • Contact List can be displayed in groups. In addition to the pre-created groups, you may create your own as you see fit.

  • The volume slider in the call window. About time that was available!

  • Entries in your address book in macos are now included in your Skype buddy list in the appropriate group.

Nothing innovative in these new changes. Then again, Skype's not known for innovation lately.
