Skype Offers Free Calls for U.S. & Canada till Year End

announcement in the history of communication. It is offering free calls to any landline in Canada and U.S. without any conditions attached. One can use their existing Skype software and SkypeOut login account for making the calls. With unlimited free calls at your disposal you won't find those dreary phone bills burning holes in your pockets. The promotion offer is available to Skype users in Canada and U.S. and this move is being seen as a way to improve the usage of Skype in the North American market where it seems to have been left behind.
This move has come at a time when its competitors like AOL and Yahoo are coming up with more call features in their IM clients. With Vonage already seeming to be in doldrums with its IPO, this move is certainly going to add to its woes. Certainly Skype has come up with an excellent method of sending jitters down the spine of its competitors and it seems this is the beginning of price war in the VoIP world. If this plan shapes up well it is going to add a number of customers to Skype's kitty.
With Skype it seems sky is the limit.
