Skype has gone ahead and unveiled Skype for Mac 2.6 which is the latest offering for Mac users. Every time Mac users were given a raw deal in comparison to Windows but this time Mac users will get to taste a new feature before Window users. This is the call transfer feature which lets ongoing call to be transferred to another Skype use on their contact list.
Some other new features added to this version which up till now were available on other platforms only are:
• join public chats
• chat typing indicator: see when others are writing a message
• Skype Prime: call a premium-service provider and pay for their advice and knowledge with Skype credit
• automatic updates: get new features and updates without having to go to Skype's website
• DTMF tones for automatic answering services available also during Skype-to-Skype calls
