IP Business Phone
by gautam on May 7, 2006

This phone has most of the Skype features including voice mail and Skype-In and Skype-Out services. People having a valid Skype account can access both PSTN and Skype networks. This phone is very much suited for business executives who are always on the move and want to experience Skype along.
This phone has an enhanced power saving design and has a longer standby and talk time hours. The phone is meant to provide the same level of security as that of a wired LAN. It is selling for $199.

Had this phone for two days now. At first I couldn't get it to connect to my secure network, assigning an ip address was the problem. If I turn security off, no problem. There's no help online and the manual is very brief. Then today it connects to my secured network, don't think I did anything while playing with my router settings, if I did it was luck and not to be repeated.
I've taken it out and used it on a few open networks in central London, the signal bars have to be pretty full for a good call, (is finding open networks a sport yet).
As for the Fon router, no idea when that'll turn up and seemingly no way of finding out, they're not answering my email yet.
