Spying on VoIP by Swiss

A story is making rounds that the Swiss Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications is toying with the idea of using Superintendant Trojan, a spyware program meant for spying on VoIP calls. The software would only be given to the investigative agencies in order to keep prevent hackers from misusing it.

t is only on the instructions of a judge that the software wiretrap would be installed and the Internet Service Provider would then slip the program onto their computers and hence the conversation would be saved and sent to a server in small packets. In case the computer is switched off before the data is transmitted the program would continue with the transmission when it is restarted. There are some other functions of the wiretrap like the built in microphone on a laptop can be used for Monitoring a room and when the activity has been performed the software could be programmed for uninstalling itself.

Get ready as somebody might be tapping your VoIP calls.
