I always thought the idea of prepaying for a year's worth of VoIP phone service from a relatively new company was a bad idea. It's not as bad as the "VoIP for life" deal I saw a while back, but still risky none the less.
Unlike what I said on Friday, new information is out that suggests that SunRocket may not last the month of July. Uber-VoIP blogger Andy Abramson has inside information suggesting SunRocket is in deep trouble. Andy also finds a gem of a post from an ex-employee of SunRocket who is not surprised to hear the bad news.
Unless someone can buy SunRocket-and who would with all that prepaid liability on the books-I think they're high-flying days are over. The SunRocket seems to be on a collision course with the dead pool. Do you agree? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
