The New Kid on VoIP Arena- Hulo
Free, Free, Free. The VoIP war gets hotter with the launch of another free VoIP service. Here comes Hullo to give a fight to the likes of Skype and Vonage. This service is quite similar to Jajah with some notable differences.

It is a client based application which looks like an instant message box and runs separately from the browser. The call process is similar to Jajah and as of now works only in North America. Its added features makes it stand apart from the rest and one can make call from any normal phone or directly from the computer with speakers/headset and microphone. In case you would like to switch phones, drop off the call and add the other number.

It also functions as a call forwarding device and every user is issued an extension on a normal phone number and when that particular number is called, Hullo would call that number in order until it tracks you. This service offers good sound quality. Even though instant messaging is missing but overall this service looks quite good.

Time will tell whether this service would be able to give competition to heavyweights like Skype but I believe that it would be able to create a niche for itself.
