Sunrocket Flameout: My first post on The VoIP Weblog was about SunRocket and whether or not they were going to live. And, of course, they ended up in the dead pool. Even after their service got subsumed by TeleBlend, SunRocket's web site lives on even today!
Ooma: It's funny, I haven't heard anything about Ooma in a while. Good thing, else I'd say what I said before: well funded, stupid ideas are still stupid. (More Ooma coverage on The VoIP Weblog)
Skype Outage: There was a massive Skype outage in August of this year. When it came back online a couple of days later, the explanation from Skype was suspect. Hopefully, Skype has learned their lesson on this one.
Cubic Telecom Gets 5 Million Euros: I tihink this is important because of Cubic Telecom CEO Pat Phelan's unwavering commitment to end the various rip-offs in telephony, making it easier and cheaper for people to make calls. This 5 million euros helped fund, among other things, the development of their global roaming SIM service called MAXroam (more coverage on MAXroam).
