Millions of people across the world use VoIP but very few understand what does it actually mean? VoIP or Voice over Internet Protocol is a technology which enables phone calls to be made over computer networks such as internet. This technology converts analog voice signals into digital data packets supporting real time two-way transmission of conversation using internet protocol or IP.
It offers several benefits and one of the biggest advantages is in terms of costs. It is not just cheap but can be termed as somewhat free and all you need is a computer with microphone and speakers and good internet connection such as Clear Wimax for communicating using VoIP. You can even use landline and cell phones for making calls.
VoIP technology can be used in several different ways and all depends on how and where you would be making calls. You can make calls at your work, home, corporate network or even while traveling. VoIP is truly amazing!!

Hi,
WiMAX is one of the networks over which VoIP is used. I just published a short interview with a customer of ours who is developing an IAD device that supports WiMAX and does VoIP.
