Vonage, Shut Your Business, Says Verizon

Verizon has stated a number of instances of infringement which includes inventions relating to gateway interfaces between packet-switched and circuit-switched network, which is necessary for implementing commercially-viable VoIP telephony. Not only this, the company has gone ahead and cited information contained in Vonage's IPO filing in order to support most of its arguments. Sounds pretty smart!!
To me it seems more of a gimmick of Verizon just to give doses to its competitors at regular intervals
and it would be hard to digest this suit as most of the VoIP technology is derived from SIP. The immediate effect was seen when Vonage's share plummeted by twelve percent on the bourses. Let's see what happens. Permalink: Vonage, Shut Your Business, Says Verizon
