Vonage signs deal with VoIP Inc to counter injunction order

fits quite well for Vonage. The company was nearing closure after losing the patent battle fight with Verizon and had asked for stay which is to be to heard in a few days time. In order to save its skin the company has entered into a two year deal with VoIP Inc for carrying calls placed by Vonage customers and this will enable them to bypass two of three Verizon patents which it has been accused of infringing. The services will be offered under the VOICEONE brand. After the end of the agreement period the companies will have an option of working out a monthly deal too. In case permanent injunction is upheld by the court VoIP Inc would offer some relief to Vonage. The company has still not managed to get out of the red but this expense was really necessary to give the company and its customers some peace of mind. People fearing that the company might close can now have a sound sleep as of now.
