Skype and Google Voice competitor VoxOx (from UC provider TelCentris) last week won the 'Best of Show' award in the consumer category at TMCnet's ITEXPO West 2009 in Los Angeles.
The service, now in beta, combines voice, video, IM, text, social media, e-mail, fax and more into a single interface, with added functionality including call screening, call routing, two-way texting, and enhanced social networking support.
"We're honored to be recognized by TMCnet as the leading free service for helping consumers solve communication overload," says TelCentris CEO Bryan Hertz. "No other service combines so many key communication channels into one place so consumers can take control of their interconnected lifestyle. We look forward to working with our rapidly growing user base to continue to innovate VoxOx."

Interesting program. The only downside as of right now would be the incoming calls. They don’t seem to go through and it’s a known issue. I did manage to fix this by using the settings on x-lite. The only thing I can’t manage to set up in x-lite is the voicemail.
Man, I tried that VoxOx software when it came out and it was the biggest turd you could imagine. Looked like a battle between the GoDaddy graphics designer and the Window Media Player designer. Plus it worked like crap. They might have improved it by now, but I’ll never go back.
