Whaleback Systems has introduced CrystalBlue Lite, a new version of its CrystalBlue Voice Service that's specifically designed to be offered as a managed service by carriers and service providers.
"CrystalBlue Lite is designed to help carriers deploy OPEX-based managed voice service with no CAPEX costs, and it targets the 5-to-20 user small/midsize business market," according to Network World's Larry Hettick and Steve Taylor.
"The cornerstone of the product is a new carrier-class, fault tolerant IP PBX appliance that resides at the customer site," writes Enterprise VoIP Planet's Adam Stone. "Whaleback deploys the remotely managed plug and play appliance, which integrates with carriers' SIP trunking services and broadband access circuits."
"[Carriers] benefit by being able to sell SIP trunks as a managed voice service instead of just empty pipes," writes TMCnet's Anshu Shrivastava.
