The service to be launched today in an early preview form would be moderated by a host who controls when someone can speak. Users would be able to find Skypecasts on the Skype web site where all the conferences would be publicly listed.
People might get confused with the term Skypecast as it is being used for describing a recording of an interview conducted via Skype and then distributed as a podcast. These are live moderated discussions which allow groups of Skype users worldwide to discuss their interests. Skype can be termed as a conversational equivalent of web log.
The networking trend has grown out of the online dating scene and has evolved as a powerful means of collaborating with friends. Skypecast is available for free for leading or joining. Bloggers can schedule Skypecasts and link to them from their sites and visitors using Skype can click to join it without leaving a blog site.
