A latest version of multi format VoIP and instant messaging platform known as EQO Mobile has been released by EQO Communications which enables users to make and receive Skype calls through BlackBerry or Windows Mobile device.
This platform is compatible with Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Skype, AOL, Jabber and ICQ. The company is making efforts to make this service available on a wide range of handheld devices so that a number of people could garner the benefits of VoIP. The company claims that the service is now available on around two hundred million J2ME-capable handsets and handhelds.
