As we already know that thumbs up has been given to snooping of VoIP as it is fast gaining popularity as compared to traditional phones but a report from the Information Technology Association of America states that it would be a difficult proposition to implement it as it would be requiring the entire structure of the internet to be reengineered which could result in the cropping up of major security problems and vulnerabilities to every computer online.
The report concludes by saying that this step was not possible socially or politically and foreign governments would not comply with any plan being pushed by U.S. and this could lead to the annihilation of American leadership in the world of communication.
Certainly this seems to be a rash decision which seems to have been taken by the government without taking into views the pros and cons of this technology. I hope this report would give some brains to the government.
